Trevisan Prize Ceremony and ITCS 2026 to Be Held at Bocconi

Two major events will take place at Bocconi during the week 26-30 of January 2026.

On Monday 26th, from 2:00–6:00 pm (local time), there will be the inaugural presentation of the Trevisan Prize for Outstanding Work in the Theory of Computing, sponsored by the Department of Computing Sciences at Bocconi University and the Italian Academy of Sciences.

The event will feature three talks by the awardees: two technical talks and one general-audience talk. More information about the schedule can be found here. Attendance is free. Please use the following form to register to the event.

The prize is named in honor of Luca Trevisan for his major contributions to the Theory of Computing. It recognizes outstanding work in the field and aims to broaden the reach of awards—both across research areas and in the recognition of individuals.

The prize is biennial (awarded every two years) and consists of two categories:

  • Mid-career: a scientist whose work has had a significant and lasting impact
  • Early-career: a scientist whose work has demonstrated exceptional promise

At the event, the Trevisan Prize for Students “AI for Good” will also be awarded.

From 27-30 of January, the 17th Innovations in Theoretical Computer Science (ITCS) conference will take place at Bocconi. All information can be found at the link.
